To quote from a great movie (The Princess Bride):
Let me 'splain.
No, there is too much.
Let me sum up.
Madrona in Tacoma, Washington? I bought yarn.
Stitches West in Santa Clara, California? I bought yarn.
Don't worry, I'll show you what I found, but first, a finished object.
The Concentric Vest, by Teva Durham, from Interweave Knits Fall 2007.
It turned out pretty well--the pattern was a bit confusing, and my connection between the cable that runs behind the neck and the front panel cable is not quite right. I could have made the back wider too; it stretches quite a bit across my back. I love the soft grey color though!
This is what's left of the yarn, which I bought at the Puyallup Fair in Spring of 2007. It's from Spring Hill Farm in Port Ludlow, WA, and the label says, "Silver Gray Bulky Romney." I used about 285 yards.
Oh, if you haven't signed up to join Ravelry yet, do it now!!
It'll take a couple of weeks to get your invitation, but you will love it.

Madrona is This Week!
Here are the finished scarfs; I gave them to my friends for Christmas. I think each girl received just the right color! Hey, I bought the yarn for these scarves at last year's Madrona--the fiber festival in Tacoma this weekend. Since I used all this up, I think I can buy something new, right?
Here's an almost-finished Clementine Shawlette from Interweave Knits Spring 2007.
I'm about sick of this and ready to call it done. I can only hope it's long enough! I love the color--Green Mountain Madness from Cherry Tree Hill. Yummy!
I'm close to the end on the Concentric Vest as well. After this photo, I sewed up the shoulders; now I just have the collar to finish.
